The fanny pack trend its being around for many years, and there is even uncertainty when it exactly started. There is a story that says that the fanny pack was invented in 1962 by an Australian women called Melba Stone; it is said that she was inspired by the pouch of Kangaroos. However, the idea of a belt and a bag it's being around for so long that it was found a frozen cavemen from 3,300 B.C; and that's not it, the fanny pack has history of being worn in Victorian times and receiving the name of chatelaine purse. People can rememberer using this accessory in the 70's , 80's, and 90's in the UK, US, and other places of the world. The late 80's and the early 90's its the time in which the fanny pack popularity was on its peak.

The popularity of the fanny pack at the beginning was supposedly to be due to the fact that the clothing didn't have pockets so it was a convenient accessory to be able to carry things. moreover, it was typically made of leather and cord, but as the world kept innovating with items like the zipper and different materials, the fanny pack kept changing from what it used to be until it was commonly to see them made of cheap fabric and logos. In the 2000's the item was mocked as untrendy.

It was years ago when we used to see the fanny pack as an accessory used by tourist and were considered an unfashionable bag. however, the ganny pack never really went away and from 2016 to 2017 sales grew more than 10% and on 2018 its popularity grew even more and it was started to be seen in celebrities and influencer around the world.

Mom Jeans

The term mom jeans was describing unflattering jeans that were high waisted and baggy, usually worn by moms.

Jeans were considered a symbol of rebellion in the 50's; it was banned to used them in some places. However, in the 60's the trend was accepted by young individuals and the denim fabric showed improvements until the 70's. after that, they started to become a staple of American fashion. In the 80's and 90's, adults started to used them as a non-revolutionary act.

The main reason for its use is comfort; from 2011 to 2017 the skinny jeans were popular and baggy jeans were considered untrendy and unflattering. People are starting to go for comfort and they are starting to see no point in wearing uncomfortable clothing. For this reason, the mom jeans started to be seen more and more during 2018, and coming back as trendy.
